The answer to this question is a simple "no".  PTAs are nonpartisan as a condition of our tax-exempt status and therefore must remain neutral when it comes to school board elections.  It is appropriate to educate our parents, as well as the public, on the qualifications of a good candidate in general, but we cannot single out one person - either pro or con.

PTAs can host candidate forums in which all persons running for the board seats can be introduced to the public and general questions about their qualifications can be asked of each of them.  Please refer to your Resource Guide in Section 8, page 11 or contact your AD or Region Director.
